Privacy Policy
How we handle the small amount of information collected through this website.
1. Who we are
Yogashna (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates this website at www.yogashna.com and a related mobile application. For privacy questions, contact privacy@yogashna.com.
2. What this policy covers
This page describes the data practices of the Yogashna website only. The Yogashna mobile app has its own privacy notice published in the app and on its store listings. Where the practices overlap (for example, contact preferences), we will say so explicitly.
3. Information we collect on this website
3.1 Information you give us
We do not require you to create an account to read this site. If a feature on the site (such as a newsletter signup or a contact form) asks for your information, we will tell you at the point of collection what we are collecting and why.
3.2 Information collected automatically
With your consent (see Section 5), we use the following analytics tools:
- Google Analytics 4 — to understand traffic sources, page popularity, and aggregate visitor counts. IP addresses are anonymised before storage.
- Microsoft Clarity — to understand how people use the site through aggregated heatmaps and de-identified session recordings. Sensitive form fields are masked by default.
These tools collect the device, browser, and approximate location information typical of any analytics service. We do not use this information to identify you personally.
4. Cookies and similar technologies
We set one small functional item in your browser to remember whether you accepted or declined analytics, so we do not show you the consent banner repeatedly. This item is stored in your browser’s local storage and is not shared with any third party.
Analytics cookies are only set after you choose “Accept” on the consent banner. If you choose “Decline” (or do nothing), no analytics cookies are set.
5. Your consent and how to withdraw it
On your first visit, a banner asks you to accept or decline analytics. You can change your mind at any time by clearing your browser’s local storage for this site (or by using your browser’s “clear site data” option). The banner will then reappear on your next visit.
6. Legal bases for processing
Where the UK GDPR or EU GDPR applies, we rely on the following legal bases: consent for analytics and any non-essential cookies; legitimate interests for keeping the site secure and operational; and compliance with a legal obligation where the law requires us to retain or disclose information.
7. How long we keep information
Analytics data retained by Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity is kept for the default retention periods of those services, which we configure to the shortest practical option. Operational logs (such as web server logs) are kept for a short period for security and debugging and are then deleted or aggregated.
8. Sharing
We do not sell or rent your information. We share information only with the analytics providers named above, and with service providers who host this website, strictly to operate the site. These providers process information on our instructions and under appropriate contractual safeguards.
9. International transfers
The analytics providers named above may process information outside your country. Where required, we rely on the providers’ standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards to protect that information.
10. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of your personal information, and to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact privacy@yogashna.com. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
11. Children
This website is not directed at children under 13 (or under the equivalent age of digital consent in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
12. Security
The site is served over HTTPS. We follow reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information collected through the site, but no service can be guaranteed to be perfectly secure.
13. Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, prompt you to review the new policy on your next visit.
14. Mobile app (summary placeholder)
The Yogashna mobile app collects data needed to provide guided practice (for example, account credentials, practice progress, and device information) and may use crash and analytics tools similar to those described above. The full mobile-app privacy notice is published inside the app and on its store listing.
